Pandora: The World of Avatar is now officially open. We were going to be heading to NYC for 5 weeks so I thought it would be fun to take Julia and a few of her friends one evening to Animal Kingdom to experience Pandora at night. Unfortunately the weather was not cooperating. The plan was to go on Everest and a few other rides before heading to Pandora. However we could see and hear a lightening storm was about to start.
We had a 3 choices:
- We could try to get to the car before the rain, but we probably wouldn’t make, and then we would just be wet and miserable with nothing to show for it.
- We could try and make it to the car, and if it started to pour hang out in a gift shop until it let up.
- We could get on line for Flight of Passage, and be inside while it was raining
We chose #3.
Unfortunately the rain started before we actually got to the inside of the line-but the girls handled it well, and they were all smiles when we got inside.
The wait was listed at about 80 minutes, and it ended up being just about that amount of time. But it went really fast-the Stand By line is done so well that it keeps you interested and entertained while you wait.
Finally we were ready to take our flight. First they bring 16 guests into a room to be assigned a banshee.
Once we were assigned banshees we were taken on our flight!
The girls loved the attraction, and thought it was the perfect way to wait out the rain!
Question: What is the longest you have ever waited to experience a ride or attraction?
