One of my favorite shows at Disney’s Animal Kingdom is Festival of the Lion King. I have missed it on my visits to the park in the last few months. A few months ago the Festival of the Lion King closed as a brand new theater was created to showcase the greatness of the show.
The new location is in Africa which is a great location. Two weeks ago I went with Julia, my sister, brother-in-law, and two nephews. Our first stop was Kilimanjaro Safaris. Harambe Theatre which houses the new Festival of the Lion King is right next to Kilmanjaro Safaris so it was very convenient to make the first show of the day!
The theatre has stadium style seating so there is not a bad seat anywhere. We were lucky though, we got pretty close to the front. I loved watching Julia and her cousin sit next two each other.
No matter how many times I see the show I am always blown away. It is so beautiful from the acting to the singing to the scenery and props used throughout the performance.
Towards the end the performers come around, and ask young children to come to the stage and participate. Julia and her cousin got asked to come up. This was so incrdible to watch.
Trust me when you visit Disney’s Animal Kingdom this is a must see, right up there with Kilimanjaro Safaris and Everest Expedition.
