Our last day-we had an 8pm flight back to NYC. We had planned to leave 7am for Magic Kingdom since MK was opening at 8am. Of course Miss. Julia who is a pretty early riser decided to sleep till 7:30. Liv and her parents went off at 7am, and we met them there at 8:45am.
We had the best time with them. It was so fun to see the excitement and pure happiness that Julia and Liv had being there together.
The girls with the Wicked Stepmother and Sisters. Both Liv’s mom and I agree-they are the most fun to be around-definitely make it a point to meet them if you have the chance-they are hilarious. Liv’s dad had gone off to get a bite to eat-he came back with a big omelette sandwich-they immediately surrounded him inquiring about what he was eating.
Throughout the day we went on Tomorrowland’s Speedway-that was hysterical. Liv, Julia and Liv’s mom were in one car, and I was in the other. Julia and Liv thought it was hilarious that they were beating me.
On Aladdin’s Magic Carpet Ride-the girls sat with Liv’s dad in the backseat (their choice) and Liv’s mom and I sat in the front-and they squealed with laughter the entire flight!
We watched the parade together-which you should know by now is my favorite part of the day. It was so great to be there with friends-and have two ecstatic little girls watching it.
After the parade we took a tour on the Jungle Cruise, and then finished up our day with The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh.
The day was truly fun and special-the only hard part was saying goodbye. In the car Julia started crying that she missed Liv. It was hard-I knew she missed her-and I also knew she was probably exhausted-in fact she fell asleep in the car. She slept through being transferred to the stroller-and slept till we left for the airport.
Our flight was delayed-so we didn’t take off until 9pm. Since Julia had napped for about 1.5 hours she was awake as we flew, and watched movies while I read. We were both happy to see Jason at the airport when we got off the plane.
It’s always good to come home no matter how much fun we have in Disney World. Of course we also know that sooner or later we will be back-which dulls the sting of saying goodbye. This time we will actually be back in less than a month. So in a month there will be a whole new segment of Tales from the Happiest Place on Earth!
